Beginning November 18, 2011, the Updates tab will no longer appear in Yahoo! Mail. As a result, you will no longer be able to post status messages or view updates from your contacts on this page. However, you will still be able to use the “quick reply” feature within Yahoo! Mail to easily reply to Facebook notifications and messages. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
If you would like to continue sharing status updates with your contacts, we encourage you to use Yahoo! Messenger. When you are logged in to Yahoo! Messenger, you can choose to display a status message, and also view the status messages of other contacts who are online.
